My First Back To MAC!

Today I came to the glorious realisation that I had indeed collected 6 empty MAC products of mine, so without hesitation I went to the MAC store in Myer and collected my free lipstick!

For those of you unaware, MAC holds a deal called 'Back to MAC' where you can hand over 6 empty MAC products and collect a free lipstick. There is a selection of lipsticks that you can choose from, not all of them are going for free, but if you want to check which ones you can get just head over to the MAC website. 

I at first chose 'Creme Cup' however they ran out of that shade so I got my second choice which was 'Lady Danger'. 'Lady Danger' is a gorgeous bright reddish orange matte lipstick and I think it will be the perfect shade for Summer. It glides onto the lips easily and smoothly, and is surprisingly moisturising for a matte shade, not drying on the lips at all. 

So make sure you don't throw out any of your empty MAC containers as you don't want to miss out on this awesome deal!

Keep Calm & Coral On

Attention my beloved beauty gurus, I've developed a massive addiction for all things coral! It's not a well known Winter colour, but I think coral is totally wearable for Autumn and for those of you living on the other side of the hemisphere, it's the perfect colour for Spring and Summer. 

Coral is such a gorgeous colour that compliments any or most skin tones, especially on the nails. I also believe that if you're wearing mostly shades such as black, grey or white, a touch of coral on the lips, around the neck, on the nails etc. breaks up the outfit very nicely and adds a little vibrance and happiness.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine"

You probably read the title of this post and wondered what on earth I was on about, right? Well, I do have quite the motivational speech to give you. So have a little read...

For a very long time I've been trying to find myself a pair of shorts (I'm really more of a skirt/dress kinda gal) but getting very frustrated as none of the denim styled shorts I tried on looked quite right. Anyway, as I was walking home one day I wandered into a store called 'Hipster'; a cheapish clothes shop with some quirky items, and came across these sunflower shorts with cute little pom poms dangling off the end. Normally I wouldn't even take a second glance at a clothing item such as these because of body insecurities yada yada but I somehow found myself standing in the change room with three pairs of the darn things and what do you know? I bought them! And...I love them! 

What I'm trying to say is, sometimes you might surprise yourself with the types and styles of clothing that you can pull off and you shouldn't let insecurities stand in your way. You only have your youth once, so if you love something don't worry about what other people think! It's your body and you're not about to get another one...go wild and rock what you've got!
