I'm currently loving...

  • Matches my dark brown brows perfectly
  • Fills in sparse hairs
  • Volumises
  • Keeps brow hairs in place all day long

Chanel's Vitalumiere Foundation -

  • Refreshingly light foundation, perfect for the approaching Summer months
  • Has a smooth application
  • Covers any redness or uneven skin tones
  • Is build-able without looking cakey
  • Has SPF 15
  • Perfect for those of you who like a more luminous and natural looking foundation
  • Will repurchase (when I have the money...this is a very expensive foundation!)

MAC's Powder Blush in "Pinch Me" -

  • As the name suggests, leaves cheeks looking slightly 'pinched'
  • Gives a very natural look
  • Very versatile, goes with practically any look and any skin tone
  • An all around great staple blush for anybodies makeup bag

MAC's Highlighter Pen in "Radient Rose" -

  • Conveniently comes in a twisting pen

The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder -

  • Perfect shade for my pale skin, despite looking quite dark in the pan
  • Perfect for bronzing (rather than contouring I find)
  • Has a matte finish....no glitters lurking about!
  • A great bronzer for a great price. Will repurchase 100%

Lorac Pro Palette -

  • Extremely pigmented and buttery eyeshadows
  • Great payoff
  • Gorgeous, very wearable shades for any occasion
  • Very versatile with 8 matte shades and 8 shimmer shades
  • Convenient slim packaging with a magnetic snap lock for travelling and storage

So as I haven't done a monthly faves for a while, I thought it appropriate to update you on some of my favourite products right now. I use these on pretty much a daily basis (with the exception of the foundation as I tend to mix my foundations up a fair bit) and would recommend any of these products to you. Hope you enjoyed :)

Much Love xx

Shopping Withdrawals

Lately I've been all about the saving and less about the spending purely because I have a million and one things coming up that require the cash dollar. To prevent myself wasting all the hard earned money I'm going to make yet ANOTHER list of all the things I want to buy.

I swear this has become one of my favourite things to blog about ha ha (sorry for being such an enabler). Enjoy!

From top to bottom, left to right:

1. Lorac Pro Palette
2. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
3. Nars Copacabana Illuminator
4. Benefit Posie Tint Lip & Cheek Stain
5. Sigma F80 Brush
6. Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid
7. Benefit The Porefessional Primer

Now I feel a little better that that's out of my system and I also now have a list to remind me of what to buy when I can spend the money ;) *mischievously giggles*

Do you own any/want any of these products? Which are your favourite?

Baby Doll Makeup & Hair Look

Long time no see blogger friends!

I created this baby doll look at random because I really wanted to make use of my new, ever so cute head band from TopShop and was really proud of the outcome. You would never guess I'm 18 years old in these pictures, I look about 5! Ha ha.

Had to include my ridiculous face on the far right

Hair:

So admittedly I didn't do my hair for this look, the hairdresser did it. I did however ask her to teach me her magnificent ways because I'm hopeless at trying to style my hair.

Basically, to create this hairstyle you need some volumising and heat protectant spray, any other styling products you use is totally up to you. Once you've worked the heat protectant into your hair, simply blow dry small sections of your hair using a cylinder hair brush to brush down and curl at the ends. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this very well but never mind, I'll continue doing my best.

Last of all, take the top section of your hair, right on the top of your head, and work some volumising spray/mousse (whatever you fancy) into your roots. Then continue on blow drying and curling! Easy peasy lemon squeezey.

To finish off the baby doll look I wore this pink bow head band from TopShop

Makeup:

As you can see I went for very simple eye makeup, focusing on the lashes and a cute winged liner. On my cheeks I used a very light, pale pink blush and matched up my lips with my cheeks by wearing a similar colour.

The foundation I used is extremely light and weightless, looking very much like my natural skin.

On my face:

- MAC Prep+Prime Primer
- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation in "B10"
- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in "Ivory" (for blemishes)
- Elizabeth Arden Sheer Lights Illuminating Pen in the shade "Soft" #01
- Rimmel Stay Matte powder in #001 Translucent
- Benefit Hoola Bronzer
- Illamasqua blush in "Katie"
- MAC eyeshadow in "Mystery" to fill in the brows
- MAC clear gel brow set
- MAC prep+prime primer in the shade "Light"
- theBalm Nude 'tude palette using: Sassy, Stubborn, Stand-offish, Sultry and Sleek
- Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl eye pencil in #005 "Nude" for the waterline
- Models Prefer black Kohl eyeliner for the tight line
- theBalm Schwing liquid eyeliner in "Black"
- Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies mascara
- Daiso fake lashes
- MAC matte lipstick in "Please Me'
- Revlon plumping lipgloss in the shade "Rosy Pout"

What do you think of this look? Would you wear it or is it too borderline childish?

Early Birthday Presents!

I thought it'd be a fun idea to show you some of the gifts I got for my birthday, despite the fact my birthday isn't actually until tomorrow. Given that I'm back at college meaning I won't be spending my birthday with family, they've bought me early birthday presents which I've shown you in the collage below!

Although I love a good surprise, I chose every single one of these gifts for myself because there have been so many things I've been hanging out buy, but too broke to buy them myself (poor college student alert).

1. Illamasqua powder blush duo including the shades 'Katie' and 'Ambition' - Highly pigmented blush duo with a matte shade and a shimmer shade, each one giving a healthy flush of colour to the cheeks.

2. Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation - An extremely light but buildable foundation and a cult favourite. This foundation is more of a skin tint, leaving the skin feeling very soft and looking luminous and fresh.

3. Elizabeth Arden Red Door Eau de Toilette Spray - This perfume has a gorgeous rich, floral scent. It's refreshing yet also has a slight sweet smell to it that I can't explain. Not to mention the bottle is pretty much the cutest thing I've seen.

4. MONDA Studio Carry-All Set Bag - Bought from a professional makeup store, this bag is meant for makeup artists carrying their gear on set. I'm currently using this bag however to store some of the ever-expanding products I have and so far it's doing a splendid job.

5. Elizabeth Arden Sheer Lights Illuminating Pen in the shade 'Soft' #01 - A gorgeous soft pink highlighter that also corrects blemishes and dark circles under the eyes. I will do a product review on this product in the future as I am absolutely loving it. It brightens and brings back life to my face. Highly recommend.

So they're my early birthday presents. I'm unsure of what else is to come because as I said, my birthday's not till tomorrow but of course I would be happy with nothing but to spend time with friends and family (aweee vom). Thankyou to my family for these gifts, I'm always very grateful!

Have you tried any of these products?

xx
